Pool News
Pool this Wednesday - afterwards
at Aneurin Bevan.
Don’t forget – you need to ask if
you want any club kit at the pool!
We have a couple of try divers in
this week – please make sure you are aware of them and allow
them space!!
Dive News

was in the water is now wearing
off and we’re starting to remember most of the kit! Apart from
some weights
left behind and my knife (no fishing line in cossie surely?)
we all managed to
get in. Robin got his shiny new OThree suit wet with two
buddies and a couple of pet
rocks for company!

Underwater
Photography SDC
Want to take better
underwater pictures? Spent
all that money on the camera but still not getting any decent
results?
This 1-2 day course is for people with little or
no experience and teaches
the basic use of a compact digital camera and housing. The
course involves
theory instruction, dry practical, and underwater practical,
followed by
another dry session to view the results
Entry requirement
This course is open
to BSAC Sports Divers.
Because of the task loading imposed by using an underwater
camera and the risk
of damage to sensitive marine life, it is recommended that
before attempting
underwater photography in open water conditions, students
should be able to
control their buoyancy within ±1m or better, and that they
should be very
familiar with their own diving equipment.
What you’ll learn
The classroom-based
and practical lessons will
include:
• Optics – issues specific to underwater photography
• Camera and housing fundamentals
• Camera functions and shooting techniques
• Practical tips underwater
What you’ll need:
Own camera and housing. Ideally can bring own computer & software for photo upload and
editing after practical sessions.
